WHAT IS TRAUMA?
As a professional, coach or mentor in the world of a global pandemic you are will encounter clients with trauma symptoms and triggers.
Trauma is defined as a perceived threat to our survival without an inherent solution.
✔️ This can happen any day and to anyone.
✔️ This can happen in big “T” (Trauma) events and in little “t” (trauma) events. Both are impactful & both are important.
✔️ These perceived threats to our survival are stored in the body.
As a trauma trained therapist, I want to empower you to lead your clients by having the knowledge to identify trauma in the moment and restoring safety so that your work can support them fully.
This is why I created my Trauma Training and Certification Program to support you as a leader in your work as well as your clients in their journey of the work.

Have you ever been in a meeting or a session...And all of a sudden someone starts sharing something deep, vulnerable and hard?
Then you start to feel it too. That ache in your belly, the tingle up your spine, the deep knowing that this is not something to bypass to make it easier.
This person just said something powerful & important. Something raw. Most likely someone in the group maybe even yourself knows this feeling...
This is something that happens quite often.
* Do you know how to diffuse it?
* Do you know what to do next?
* Do you know if you're qualified to assess the situation?
* What if they start saying some scary or suicidal things?
* How about the rest of the group, were they affected by what they said?
* What about YOU?
* Were you triggered and are now stuck in a drained place for the rest of the session.. rest of the day?
Trauma Informed Leaders know how to answer these questions.

"I highly recommend Colleen’s Trauma-Informed Training program to anyone who’s looking to deepen their understanding of trauma and better serve their communities. As a coach, I knew this was a topic I wanted (and honestly, needed) to learn more about—and Colleen’s extensive knowledge of and passion for teaching about trauma was unmatched. She is such a great guide through this experience and makes a not-so-easy subject feel much more comprehendible. “After meeting with Colleen I feel like I understand why I do what I do and I actually know how to make changes that last.
Instead of trying to be a different person I finally learned how to accept who I am and LOVE her. I can now look myself in the mirror and say “you are enough” and mean it!”

Colleen has provided the help and support I spent decades looking for. She comes from a place of love and compassion and creates a safe space free of judgement or conflict. She provides deep insight, demonstrates a self of peace and calm, and provides ground and accountability for healing.
Not just a clinical sounding board, Colleen is multi-faceted and helped me with all aspects of my being - mental, emotional, spiritual and somatic. I am still alive and now living my life without the constant fear and worry; anxiety, panic and dissociation and regular jump from one crisis to the next...

Over five decades of living with constant fear, anxiety and panic. Feeling like the bones just want to explode out of the skin, need to run or take something to make the body stop and calm down and reacting disproportionately to situations. Very little peace or calm on the the inside while showing just that on the outside. Now, that is subsiding and more calm, peace and less anxiety, panic... the stories fading.
