ADOLESCENT THERAPY

Adolescent counseling is a specialized form of therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of teenagers navigating the complexities of modern adolescence. It provides a safe and supportive space for young individuals to explore their feelings, behaviors, and thoughts, addressing issues ranging from school refusal and lack of motivation to anxiety, self-harm, and technology dependence.

This form of counseling aims to empower adolescents to understand and manage their emotions, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and improve their relationships with others. By focusing on the specific challenges that adolescents face today, counseling can play a crucial role in their development, helping them build resilience, self-esteem, and a positive outlook towards their future.

In my practice, I offer a compassionate and innovative approach to adolescent counseling, combining direct therapy with somatic (body-based) techniques to address both the mind and body. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with training in EMDR, and over a decade of experience, I specialize in helping adolescents overcome modern-day issues by resetting their nervous system and redirecting patterns of behavior.

My background in addictions, eating disorders, trauma, adoption, and divorce allows me to offer comprehensive support tailored to the individual needs of each adolescent and their family. Whether working with the adolescent alone or involving the whole family, my goal is to create a nurturing environment that fosters growth, healing, and a renewed sense of potential in every young person I work with.
